Flow Neuroscience
Location: Hybrid role based in either London, UK or Malmö, Sweden.
About Flow
Flow Neuroscience has developed a new, highly scalable depression treatment that has the potential to completely change the way the world treats mental health.
Our depression-treating headset is already being used by the NHS, over 200 private clinics and over 30k users.
The data from these users, our own clinical trial, and extensive research in the scientific literature indicates that 57% of people that use Flow will be depression-free, and over two thirds will have an improvement in their symptoms.
We’re backed by leading VCs (Khosla Ventures) and have raised over $20m to date.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated App Developer to join our small, dynamic team of three developers, a product manager, and a product designer.
You will be responsible for enhancing and evolving our companion app, with a core focus on increasing user retention to maximise clinical outcomes.
Your work will be at the intersection of cutting-edge medical technology, digital health, hardware, psychology, and artificial intelligence.
What You’ll Do
Develop and Optimise: Build, maintain, and enhance our consumer app to improve user retention and ensure seamless integration with our brain stimulation headset. You will work with a cross-platform app developed in .NET Maui and C# for iOS and Android.
Evidence-Based Iteration: Apply the latest research and data to guide development decisions. Rapidly test, learn, and iterate to deliver impactful solutions.
Drive Business Impact: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, balancing technical excellence with business goals. Challenge work that doesn’t improve the user experience, and continually enhance our data and testing setup.
Who You Are
Experienced App Developer: You have a proven track record of building and shipping software, ideally in a startup or small team setting.
Product-Minded Engineer: You have a keen eye for great user experiences and understand how beautiful, intuitive UIs can positively impact mental health and retention.
Resilient and Growth-Oriented: You embrace challenges with a growth mindset, are transparent about mistakes, and are eager to learn and improve.
Mission-Driven: You are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the world by developing innovative treatments for depression.
